SNUGGLE-UP THE MINIATURE SHETLAND PONY

Do you believe in love at first sight? I fell in love with "Toyhorse Lord Snuggle-Up" the very first time I set my eyes on him. I was at Greenlands Equestrian Centre fun pony show. I looked across to a small horse box and there he was standing looking lovingly into Penny Parsnips eyes. His owners Judith and Sue Nicholson were getting him ready for the fancy dress. My love must have been obvious as Judith had already asked me and my sister to go and help look after there ponies and break them into ride.. Snuggie is a miniature shetland gelding, he stands at 34 inches high. He is a beautiful chestnut roan colour. Snuggie is one of 19 and still growing shetland ponies that the Nicholson Family own. Snuggie and I have a special kind of bond. I began to ride him 3 years ago. Snuggie just got better and better at riding and also jumping, he was great. We started entering shows all over Cumbria. In the first year we both learned lots of new things, and he has been placed in many of the shows he has entered, winning quite a phew of them. All the cups,trophy's and rosettes that was won are on display where Snuggie lives. We went to a show called "Best of the Rest". In the class called "the pony the judge would like to take home", I told the judge that Snuggie was one of a kind, my mini Milton and simply the best, out of 37 pony's he won the class. I was so proud of him. His best friend is Penny parsnip a standard black shetland. I know that Snuggie will always have a special place in Penny's heart as he always will have in my heart.

MY SNUGGIE POEMS

There he is grazing in the field,

Along I went there I sat and kneeled,

His lovely markings and his colour,

He brightens my day from getting duller,

A challenge is his middle name,

Fame and glory is his game,

He's won plenty of silver cups,

He's the one and only Snuggle-up.

POEM 2

Snuggle-up the shetland is one of a kind,

I always have him on my mind,

He's my mini milton in a way,

I love him so much every day,

We work together and try our best,

Obviously we are better than the rest!
